Minimal as Chrome is kept, and Google's mission statement being what it is, this could be a Google Chrome extension written by Google.
Making all the world's information universally accessible & useful includes making content easily readable for everyone, 24/7. I wouldn't count on "always use my font choices" to become a standard feature of Google Chrome because after 14 months of public beta releases and 12 months of stable version releases, I still can't get to www.google.org by typing [google] in the omnibox and pressing Control+Shift+Enter, or press Shift+Enter to prefix [www.] and suffix [.net] to my domain name. Apparently they count on a dense community to form that will take care of that. (See www.chromeextensions.org and www.chromeplugins.org ). I quite like the idea of a pick'n'mix of features to be enabled and am glad they see it the same way, but unfortunately we're now in the transitional stage where the fastest browser in the world (currently Google Chrome Beta) lacks a lot of features in standard "native" functionality and add-on features. Still, it would only be one checkbox and the associated function... Perhaps the function is hard to add with Webkit because I just saw that Safari doesn't have this either. -- Chromium Discussion mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-discuss
