I built from tar ball and made it through all the hoops, mainly changing the url in the get-chrome script but everything else goes fine.
Boot from USB and login but at the "desktop" it keeps refreshing the main window/desktop every few seconds. It looks like it sides in and sides out. If you ctrl-alt-t you get a terminal and now it switches between main and terminal screens. You can type about 2 chars at a time in between cycles so I installed on HD but same problem after restart, LOL. I built in the back door and have access to terminal at start and no switching problem. Can someone tell me if there is a way to disable multible desktops at the command line or if they know the problem? I am not really sure what to call the behaviour so it is hard to search.
