Clearly :). We try to keep things working in the dev channel, but it is the dev channel after all. Also, the dev channel isn't so much one channel as two. The mac and linux builds frequently get cut at different revisions. There's a limited amount we can do to prevent skew. Finally, we aren't really trying to even support extensions on mac and linux right now.
