We prefer that the majority of code running in the extension process be code that was installed as part of the signed extension package for security reasons. This is why we haven't allowed this feature yet. If it comes up repeatedly, we might reconsider. > 2. I'm not familiar with any window.sizeToContent() API, but in general, the windows do resize to fit their contents.
