Our priority right now is getting Windows completely polished and
stable. Extensions will release to beta first on Windows, later on mac
and linux. That said, the Chromium linux mafia has been showing a
complete disrespect of stated priorities and implementing browser
actions anyway, and they are not too far behind Windows. Browser
actions have not been started at all on mac.

The dev releases are about a week behind trunk, but the bug system
usually refers to trunk not any particular release. So browser actions
are complete modulo polish issues on linux on *trunk*. I'm not sure
what state they made it to the dev channel in this week.
