If there were a way to access images from clipboard, a whole world of interesting possibilities relating to support apps, image tweaking etc. There are a bunch of useful online, web-only image editing tools that would hugely benefit from the ability to support user-initiated 'paste image from clipboard', and user-initiated 'copy to clipboard' to transfer it back again.
Given I see there's a way to take the binary, jpeg-encoded content of a tab's contents, perhaps that encoding mechanism could be used for clipboard contents transfer?
