I have previously tried one of these...I just installed RSS
Subscriptions
Extension...but neither seems as seamless as The firefox mechanism.
There I can go to a classified ad site (like kijiji.com) setup some
search parameters in the proper section, and an RSS icon will appear
at the bottom of the list. If I click on it, FF will offer to
subscribe, and
puts it on the toolbar. When I click on the toolbar icon, I get a list
of
summaries of all new ads...if I click on one it takes me to the proper
ad on
the site. The best I can do with Chrome is subscribe in Igoogle
( awkward and slow) or
Google reader...almost overkill for what I need. The RSS subscrption
mechanism is
what keeps FF on my desktop..God knows it's not there for any other
reason :)

I'll keep looking.

Thanks
