Logical, but I did not see that coming :-). You may be interested to learn
that other brands of portable computer have at the same time been
introducing tilt sensors; laptops with touch-screens and a tablet mode tend
to have those sensors so the display orientation adapts to turning the
device about when in "tablet mode". The laptop I'm typing on has them and
so I can tell you there is no easy standard for dealing with them on Linux,
but Windows 8 and onwards may have a standardised abstraction for them. If
so that could keep some of the compositions that depend on them playable.
