Chukwa is using a socket connection to manage all adaptors
(add/shutdown/remove/...).
If the ChukwaAgent is not there and/or too busy, the "source application" will
be delayed.
The idea is to be able to add/shutdown an adaptor using a non-blocking file
based protocol.
