This depends on what is changed. For example, if you add a new column to system metrics table, then you would need to modify the system_metrics.descriptor file to include the new column.
If you change the table partition frequency, then you might need to change DatabaseConfig to map correctly to the table partition frequency. What is the use case that you have in mind?
