Changes in MetricDataLoader - are they worth including?

Hi all,

We've made two changes in the area of the MetricDataLoader. The first is 
to properly escape single quotes. (This was a two-line fix.) The second 
is to allow breaking up of mdl.xml into multiple files for ease of 
maintenance.

I'd read before that the MetricDataLoader was deprecated and thus I was 
wondering if it's worth everyone's time to post the code for the 
enhancement and fix.

Thoughts?
