My sense is that the administrative requirements of TLP-dom are quite
modest, so that doesn't sway me.
However, I don't see us  being independent of Hadoop in the
near-to-medium term.  The architecture was driven by the desire to
help get data into Hadoop, so maybe we're better as a subproject until
that changes.
