Dear Rosie,

Diana did kill herself (suicide) and she experienced intermittent deep
depressive episodes throughout her life. ( I presume the 'him' you are
referring
to is Winston Churchill and his "Black Dog".) It is a family trait
(depression) that is traceable back to the First Duke of Marlborough. Winston's
 father,
Lord Randolph Churchill, had a variety of Bipolar Disorder, that accounts for
much of his irascible and mercurial temperament. There are a number of
co-morbidities for depressives and I am unaware of any that Diana had, such as
chronic alcoholism.

Is it true that Diana killed herself aged 54 because she had inherited his
depression??

Dear Sir,

This is a fascinating request: identification of the "scandals" involving
Winston Churchill's children. What an earth might be prompting such an
interest on your part? Most of us on this Chat Room would probably want to
know your
definition of a "scandal". Webster's defines it as:

Scandal

1. Disgraceful gossip about the private lives of other people.
2. A disgraceful event.

I presume these are the definitions you have in mind, and maybe the latter
more than the former!!

So where does one go from here? I suppose it depends a little on some
examples of scandals and really determining whether they are mild
perturbations of
behavior or egregious (possibly lascivious) episodes. For instance, what do
you mean by a troublesome child (Diana) as being possibly 'scandalous'?

What do you think you are looking for, besides two (and possibly three) of
WSC's children having trouble "holding their liquor"? Please advise and
clarify your purpose.

Thanks.

Hi, can anyone help me found out any information regarding scandals
that revolved around Winston Churchills children?

>From my research I have discovered information regarding his eldest
Diana, but I have not been able to find out anything regarding his
other children.

Was Diana the only troublesome child?
