Mike-

As a former librarian, I can attest that all of the books you mentioned
eventually go out the door. We constantly weeded our shelves of older
volumes, damaged volumes, etc. Rest assured, all of the books were replaced
with newer copies whenever possible or different volumes on the same
subject. It was interesting that the same book with an updated cover would
be used, while the old volume would just sit on the shelves.

It's amazing what you can find at Library sales. I, too, have put a great
number of volumes in my personal Library from their sales. AND! Often for as
little as ten cents to a dollar per item.

Several of the books in my Churchill collection have been bought at "Friends
of the Library" sales... these are volumes that have been discontinued from
the library's regular offerings... funny... I never seem to see bios of
Wilson, FDR, JFK, RFK, LBJ, Carter etc. in the discards...

As a Librarian, my heart sinks when I hear of this kind of activity.
Librarians (at least the ones I know throughout America) abhor the concept
and practice of censorship.

Today I had two letters censored and not published, no reason given, they
were just not published.

This goes against everything WSC stood for.

I would rather 100 Churchillians denigrate me in public forum than one
censor my views.
