On the subject of suggested books; I am just finishing Robert Massie's two
fascinating volumes, "Dreadnought" and "Castles of Steel". These have
increased my interest in reading biographies on Fisher and Kitchner. As
there are multiple works on these men which do people recommend?
Particularly those works that emphasize their relationships with Churchill.

Perhaps not directly related but I still I recommend a highly readable book
by Lynne Olson "Troublesome Young Men". subtitled the Rebels Who Brought
Churchill to Power and Helped Save England. Great cast of characters such as
Anthony Eden, Harold Macmillan, Ron Carter, and of course Halifax and
Chamberlain.. Might not be "academic" but it tells a great story with a cast
includes all the famous names as well as many lesser known names.

I would also heartily suggest Burying Ceasar.
Also I just read a book called "The Chamberlain Tradition" It was
published between Munich and the Outbreak of war. Suffice it to say, it is
a unique vantage point.
