For the second time I ate at the Criterion Restaurant in Piccadilly Circus.
The last time I was there I saw a photo of Churchill along with other famous
persons who have eaten there over the years. But this time, waiting for a
friend, I flipped through a pamphlet describing the history of the place.
According to the owner, Lloyd George and Churchill used to meet regularly there
during the Coalition government to discuss policy.
Just an interesting side note. This now makes at least two places I have eaten
where Churchill once ate (the other was a hotel in Brussels)
