This from a Friday 27 September 2013  Blog in The Telegraph  regarding global
warmists and titled:

Global warming believers are feeling the heat
By James Delingpole

"As an exercise in bravura spin, these claims are up there with Churchill’s
attempts to reinvent the British Expeditionary Force’s humiliating retreat from
Dunkirk as a victory."

It surprises me for some reason that Sir Winston Churchill's  fellow Brits
would so casually slander him when they like us are in such dire need of a
great countryman, past or present.  I immediately thought of his "We Shall
Never Surrender" speech and went to the audio archives on the Center's web site
to confirm.  Just a couple of remarks suffice to give the lie to the blog
author's assertions , " to announce the greatest military disaster in our long
history ", and,  "So, we must be very careful not to assign to  this delivery
the attributes of a victory. Wars are not won by evacuations ".
In my opinion Churchill's remarks were spoken with bravura and justifiably so.
That retreat along with the continued growth of the RAF helped prevent a German
invasion.  Many thanks to all of you who do such a fine job with the Center and
make it available for our use.

Can any members cite examples which give credence to Mr. Delingpole's comment?
