THANK YOU BARBARA, I am no more impressed with the Pre-painting drawing. A PUG nose, really! The knots in his eyebrows and the bridge of his nose are inconsistent with the injury he sustained in 1931, the actual scar in the mid-line is far shallower than appeared in later Life. Tough to know what redeeming features this drawing has. It does seem to have driven the likeness he eventual painted, also ??????. Then what do I know about "representational" painters. Very little I am sure. John H. Mather MD FACPE President UNI-CORN LLC 1015 West Main Street Franklin, TN 37064 Tel: 240 353 6782 [email protected]
