ESTABLISHMENT OF A DEDICATED
SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL ROOM
What do you do with your books and Churchilliana?
Like me, many of you I suspect have collected books by and about Sir Winston
Churchill, some signed by the authors.  You have treasured these books as well
as paintings, drawings and other items of Churchilliana such as Toby Jugs.  Now
you find that your children are not particularly interested in receiving them
now or when you go to Glory.  So what do you do, sell the better pieces and
donate the remainder!  Now you find that libraries and the Centers such as the
National Churchill Library and Center and the National Churchill Museum are
selectively interested.  So what do you do?

There is now a very real opportunity to donate your items to a 501(c)3 entity
in Washington DC.  Please immediately go to The Mansion on O Street
www.omansion.org and find out about this fascinating organization with its O
Museum in the mansion.  It is also a place where you can stay when you are in
Washington DC and I would strongly urge you to check it out and stay there in
this sumptuous establishment.

What actually fascinates me more is that the Museum is has dedicated one of its
rooms to Sir Winston Churchill.  It has been decided that the original
Fireplace Suit (Bedroom with a Queen size bed, large living room, entertainment
console, ensuite bathroom, Kitchenette back porch and balcony and a dedicated
Study area) will now become the Sir Winston Churchill Room.  Its full
activation is dependent on some additional tax deductable contributions.  An
initial significant donation has already been made to get it started.  Anyone
who becomes a Contributor-Sponsor at the $2,000 level or more will receive a
30% discount on the prevailing room rate, which is currently $850 per night.
Your name will appear on a plaque outside of the door to the Sir Winston
Churchill Room identifying you as a Contributor-Sponsor.

The O Museum in the mansion is looking for donations of books and Churchilliana
to fully activate their vision of the Sir Winston Churchill Room.  You should
email the owner at h...@omansion.com for more information about making
donations (tax deductible) of books, paintings, Churchilliana and other related
ephemera.  Further, you might want to become a Friend of the OMuseum:  go to
foundat...@omuseum.org
