Hi everyone, According to Wikipedia, S-Branch was a group of economists/ statisticians under Cherwell that reported directly to Churchill. It’s role was supplying the PM with documents containing statistical data that allowed him to make quick decisions.
I’m a bit interested in reading more about this organisation so does anyone have any suggestions for books, articles etc on it? Does anyone know where their documents were archived after the war? I presume since it was headed by Cherwell some of them are in his papers in Cambridge. And since it reported directly to Churchill some of their records presumably also made into his private papers. But are there any other places worth investigating? Best regards, Andy Sent from my iPhone -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ChurchillChat" group.
