Imagine subscribing to cia-drugs or any mailing list as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Then what would happen is the listserver would email to that address, and the address would bounce back with a little boilerplate added. Many listservers would interpret the bounce as confirmation, since it contains all of the "just hit reply and include this phrase".
Then the function as a user would be to bounce all messages back, and listserver would accept those bounces as subscriber emails. Meanwhile yahoo and this list will be marked and databased around the world as spammers for spamming [EMAIL PROTECTED] Probably most list email to that address will be filtered out and dropped by amazon's spam filter, but once in a while their spam filter won't work and you will receive a bounce-back as if it was hijacking a cia-drugs message. That would not explain how it was receiving only messages from Kris. Perhaps in the subscription settings it could be set to only receive messages from the moderator? Bottom line is you're being played. -Bob ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Fair play? Video games influencing politics.
