Let us identify who will be our nex president, according to his record and what
his plans are.
This is very important, no matter how good looking, no matter how much
carisma, no matter how determined they are, but we must pay close attention to
the voting records, the track record, and most of all, what they intend to do
about things here in America with we the people. Be sure that you give heed to
what they say they will do and whay they say they will not do. We are not
voting on a popularity contest, but on who has the wisdom to run this country
in a decent sort of way. We need this strength and wisdom now more than ever
before. Never waving, is what we need, never backing down to be with the
groups, always standing for what is good and right for America. We must get
our country back, this bunch of soothsayers has almost wiped us out. Most of
the Constitution, our rights under the constitutuion and believe it or not, no
habeas corpus. We must rescend the Patriot Act ASP, and also the new Military
Act which applies to the citizens. This is a arsenine act
which should not be allowed in this country, The rubber stamp GOP neo-cons
nearly took our country apart, and we are on the edge of imploding. That's
right. If we allow the North Atlantic Union to take over our country, that is
the end of the ball game. We can still take it back and get on the right trac,
we must have control of all three branches to do that, but, if we can get it
done, we are still save our country, So, keep somber and let's get our heads
together and drop those who would not go all the way to secure our country and
take it out of the hands of the invaders and rubber stamps. Let's do it the
AMerican Way this time. The tide is with us, if we can only hold up and keep
on going. Never give up! WE will go all the way!!! Big Red, All the Way!!!!!

The following is from one of our members on the democratic forums. I am
wondering about now, just who all we can count on. and who will speak up and
speak out now!! while we still have a chance to make a great change, back to
American ideals... not thieves and robbers, but the good old kind of roll up
our sleeves and get busy. We have a lot to do and we must get it right this
time.

I share your dismay re the American people / Iraq and the lack of
jobs in this country etc.
I have been "paying attention" for quite some time ... and was a
democratic delegate in Boston in 2004. I strongly urge you to
consider Dennis Kucinich -- He makes the most sense - consistently --
of any presidential candidate. What part of the country do you
live in?
I support Kucinich for President because he is the only Presidential
contender who has voted against every authorization and funding
appropriation for the war in Iraq since 2002. He alone, was not
confused or misled... He was right .. from the start -- he KNEW
the war was wrong .. that the "reasons" were bogus - and that it was
just for profit -- for the corporations who gain by keeping the
country at war.
He also has the ONLY universal health care plan .... SINGLE PAYER -
Not For Profit. He says: "Everyone should have health
insurance? I say everyone should have health care. I'm not
selling insurance." DJK
FACT SHEET : What is Single-Payer Health Care?
Q. What's the difference between Universal Single Payer Health Care
and Universal National Healthcare?
A. Single Payer Health Care saves money. It will not diminish medical
coverage provided by your current healthcare providers. Instead of
spending about 25 to 30 cents out of each health dollar on paperwork,
advertising, marketing and bloated profits for corporation
executives, whose sole purpose is to turn a profit, there would be
only one insurance provider --as there is with Medicare. This is what
Canada, Britain, France, Germany and other Industrialized countries
do. You can't get good healthcare if the purpose of the healthcare
provider is to make a huge profit on your illness. There is no
motivation to cure diseases when profits are the motive in the
healthcare industry.
Q. Are the states doing anything about healthcare for all?
A. Yes. In Oregon - we have the Oregon Health Plan - administered
through the Welfare Department - and most physicians refuse to accept
it. The entry into this "benefit" is cumbersome and its requirements
eliminate many low income people. Instead -- Single Payer Health
Care saves money and motivates drug companies and medical researchers
to actively find and use cures for diseases. When the profit motive
is gone, the door is open to progress in medicine. States that force
citizens to buy private health insurance policies are not solving the
problem of the uninsured. These policies simply line the pockets of
the insurance companies with even more money. Our money!
Q. Can Single Payer Health Care help our economy and provide good jobs?
A. For every GM car manufactured in the U.S., $1,500 of the price tag
goes to pay for private medical insurance premiums. It is not
surprising that many corporations want to avoid these kinds of costs
and end up outsourcing good jobs overseas. The burden of health care
is killing industry in our country. It's a prime reason for union
strikes too. The administration costs to provide medicare are three
cents per dollar - as opposed to the high costs of for profit
systems. These same employees would be absorbed into the government
- not losing their jobs - but providing a better health care system
through Single Payer Health Care.
Q. Don't the other presidential candidates want universal healthcare?
A. Other candidates say they want national healthcare for children,
or in ten years, but none of them have the freedom to get rid of the
middleman. Why? The middlemen are contributing to their political
campaigns. Who gets money from drug and from health insurance
companies? NOT DENNIS KUCINICH! Kucinich has NO STRINGS to any
corporations! (Not to Halliburton. Not to Avi Bio Pharma, Not to
Exxon, etc. etcŠ.) More info at .
