I am very aware of the arguments by some 9/11 truthers against impeachment. However, it is impossible to try a sitting Vice President (or President) until they are removed from office. Therefore, impeachment is a good first step. In other words, criminal or war crimes trials cannot occur until Cheney is out of office, and impeachment is a way to help show him the door early. By the way, here is an argument for why Cheney should be impeached first, before Bush or anyone else.
