There have been a few questions about the CIFS client on Solaris 10. I've looked into the feasibility of this, and it doesn't look hard. The only issues in the way are funding, priorities, etc.
If some customer with an S10 support contract will file an RFE, and ask about the "RFE for a fee" program, I imagine this can be made to happen. Alternatively, if enough S10 customers ask for this, the sales organization might fund the back-port. I'd actually like to see the S10 back-port RFE come in.
