The CIFS stack doesn't care about the DN of the machine account either (assuming you're using snv_97 or above).

This works fine, and my server is now registered in the container

Now it workes fine, until the administrator of the AD server finds it.
He likes to move newly registered clients to an OU called something
else. (ou=company_name, ou=unixservers blabla)

If I reboot my server now, It won't work anymore, and I have to
register it again using kclient.

Could you please expand on "it doesn't work anymore"?

Is there any way around this problem? Is there any way I can tell
Solaris (open) that it is not in "Computers" anymore?

The Solaris Kerberos stack doesn't care one bit about the DN of the
machine account, but the CIFS stack might. So I'm moving this
discussion to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
