John,

This has already been reported as a bug.

Can anyone help me this?

I’ve been trying to get our openSolaris boxes joined to the domain for some time now without success.

I’ve tried smbadm join, which worked as a domain admin only.

Now I want to contact our domain admin again to try kclient, but the error I get here, doesn’t tell me much.

Thanks in advance

John

Hi,

I’m trying to kclient to join a domain. I’m doing this as an OU administrator.

Is this causing the issue I see below?

I’ve created the object in our OU in the Active Directory tree.

r...@vesuvio-vm5:~# kclient -T ms_ad -a bs-admin -m novo
