Hi Alan
Thansk your nice replay!

files in
windows clients .And by the way, I try to create file with illegal
characters
,/?\:"*?| for example in solaris,it look fine in windows client but it
cannot
be opened. Its do not terminate directory listings, how to reproduce this
bug?

Do you have file names containing characters that are illegal on Windows?
There was a bug in the smb/server that cause it to terminate directory
listings if it encountered a file name containing such characters.
I suspect that snv_97 is sufficiently old that it has that bug. If so,
you should upgrade to something more recent. If you can wait a few
days, snv_112 will be available.

Subject: [cifs-discuss] cannot update in windows explorer
Hi Guys
I have a Sun Fire X4200M2 server and I install the Solaris express
nv97 ,the file system is QFS. The smb server is enabled which is
conneted by several the Windows server 2003 clients. Also there is
IPMP in my server.
the system is fine but after two days later, there is the problem,
when I open the windows explorer in one of the client, I can see
there are some files in smb server ,but the number of files is not
right, looks it lost some files which is created recently.I create a
new file and refresh in explorer,no errror report, but I still cannot
find the file I just created.I login in the smb server and run "ls",
all file are there include the file that I created just a moment ago,
but it still cannot be observed by any of other client.
In ther /var/adm/messages, there is no any abnormal ,only this :
Mar 23 16:48:19 glnas smbsrv: [ID 105716 kern.warning] WARNING:
smb_kdoor_clnt_upcall: failed(4)
But I believe that is simliar with this bug :
http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6735938
I am not sure if it is related with the windows explorer problem.
is there any suggest for this
thanks very much!
