Hi, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions (not sure if this is the correct forum to ask).
I have 2 OpenSolaris servers, currently testing with 1, what i would like to know is, if I use AVS to replicate the ZFS volumes to the second server would I need to have the POSIX / Unix schema extensions in active directory before joining to the domain? I only really care about the CIFS access to these files and their security being correct for the windows domain users. I am wondering as I decided to test and see what happened to the security on the current test server if i destroyed the OS install and reinstalled opensolaris, and imported the zfs volumes, after the import and rejoining to the domain, the ZFS domain users security was incorrect (the same users didnt have any rights to the files) so that lead me to think that the schema extensions are required. Is this correct? I have posted to the CIFS and Storage forums with this question, dont really know where it would lie under. Thanks for any help you can give. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ cifs-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/cifs-discuss
