Subject: [cifs-discuss] smbsvr share not found messages
I'm seeing occasional dmesg errors from smbsrv as follows
May 6 11:17:57 superNAS last message repeated 2 times
May 6 16:21:41 superNAS smbsrv: [ID 138215 kern.notice] NOTICE:
smbd[PUBLIC\Mark]: testshar share not found
This name (testshar) comes directly from the ncoming request.
Most likely someone mistyped the share name.
Alan
Which is strange since the share is actually called testshare, and it has
been running fine.
r...@mynas:~# sharemgr show -v
default
zfs
zfs/Pool0/smb1
testshare=/Pool0/smb1
This is an OpenSolaris 2008.11 on X64 without a gui dev server.
uname -a = SunOS myNAS 5.11 snv_101b i86pc i386 i86pc
I haven't seen any other errors, and cifs-chkcfg is clean.
