I was afraid of that. But i hope for another solution ... ;)
The origin Samba has also problems with trusted domains, so i knew that this 
problem is not easy to solve.

But ...

Looking at a native pure windows network with ADS or also a Novell-eDirectory 
showing the posibility of using resources in a "context" were usernames or unix 
uidNumbers must not be unique in each context. But for example, in an ADS 
forest the SID must be unique ... each "domain" has an unique part in the SID 
...

And Samba uses a combination of domain and user ( for example DOMAIN+USER ) to 
distinguish user in such cases ...

And creating an user smith in a windows "subdomain" causes none error or 
warning if another user named smith existing in the parent domain ...

In our case the fileserver based on the release 2009_6 (b111b) and i am using 
the sfw samba version 3.0.34 to solve (workaround)these problem ... so i can 
wait ;)

But i am looking hopefull for the next developments
