This is a known problem:
6791642 Unable to connect to the CIFS server using \\servername.fqdn
The reason is that currently we don't support Kerberos user
authentication. Hopefully, this will not be the case by the end of
this calendar year.

Hi,
i’m currently successfully running opensolaris svn125 with cifs+ad ldap
works greate now J
However I have found something which looks like a bug.
If i on windows execute:
net use x: \\r2d2\zfs <file:///\\r2d2\zfs> /user:username password
The command completed successfully.
Then:
net use x: \\10.10.10.10\zfs <file:///\\10.10.10.10\zfs> /user:username
password
The command completed successfully.
(success)
But with fqdn:
net use x: \\r2d2.pegasus.local\zfs <file:///\\r2d2.pegasus.local\zfs>
/user:username password
System error 1240 has occurred.
The account is not authorized to log in from this station.
Seems like FQDN is not working? Any ideas, fixes? J
