Hi Eric,

I tested this with a Windows7 client and a Solaris server running the latest
Solaris build. It worked fine.
Looking back at older source code (Jan 2008) I see that the
BOTH_DIRECTORY_INFO level was not supported by us back then.

Given that you are running a fairly old build of Solaris I suspect that the
the version you are using doesn't have the support for this information
level in it yet either.
Upgrading to a newer Solaris build should resolve the problem for you .

Unfortunately, I don't know what this means. What is the difference
between "both" and "full" directory info? Note that the windows
explorer GUI browser of the share generates a "Find File Both
Directory Info (260)" request, which works just fine with the
OpenSolaris server.

We support both if these levels.
Afshin passed on your network traces to me. I will investigate why
Full Directory Info doesn't work in this scenario.
The main difference in the levels is that the returned data for "both"
contains the file's shortname, which "full" does not.

Thank you very much for investigating. Please let me know if there's
any more debugging I can do on our end, or more traces you need me to
capture.
