There are three ways you can do this:

1. Use a Windows client

2. Use chmod and use the SID e.g.

    groupsid:S-1-5-438473-58347567-4848-55:rwx:allow

3. Even if the group is unmapped it will be mapped to an ephemeral ID
   you can see the mapping using "idmap dump" CLI and then you can use
   the ephemeral ID like a normal ID in your chmod/chown/chgrp commands.

I assume the only way would be to create a local group and map it to that group and then you can use that as the name in the acl or use the active directory nsswitch but that is not an option on an appliance.
