Anecdotal information. I've had no problem with CIFS shares using snow leopard
using SXCE up to version 127 (when I switched to OSOL). The snow leopard
machines are all doing Time-Machine backups to the shares. I've also had no
problem using OSOL 111b, and 130-133. The machine is an AMD 64, so I can't
speak for a 32-bit kernel.
