Folks,

As can be seen here, abe is off on both of my CIFS share.

# sharemgr show -vp
default nfs=()
smb smb=()
        * /var/smb/cvol
                  c$=/var/smb/cvol       smb=(abe="false" guestok="false")
"Default Share"
zfs
    zfs/mypool/cifs1 smb=(abe="false")
          /volumes/mypool/cifs1
                  mypool_cifs1=/volumes/mypool/cifs1     smb=(abe="false"
guestok="false")
    zfs/mypool/cifs2 smb=()
          /volumes/mypool/cifs2
                  cifs2=/volumes/mypool/cifs2    smb=(abe="false"
guestok="false")

However, when a share is mapped from Windows, access rights still work. For
example, if user1 creates a file, user2 cannot access it.

I am confused. If abe is false, how are access rights still working?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,
Peter
