thanks for the commands. The only one that failed was for the
DNS-Server-Service, as the Windows box doing the join is a workstation
not running its own DNS server.

I used tracerpt to dump XML for the etw trace, and had a look at the
result. It doesn't look like it contains anything interesting,
although you may be able to get more out of the etl file.

If it matters, the Windows client doing the join is version 6.1, build
7600 (w2k8r2).
