The latest GIT checkin contains many changes to draw refreshes in the Compositor and Viewer windows. A deadlock was recently discovered and it was determined that Mutex-s were being used when Condition-s should have been instead. This is a very good cleanup and even though we did quite a lot of testing, we could have missed something so if Cinelerra hangs unexpectedly, please do a Ctrl-C and get a dmp file to send to us for analysis.
IgorB: a ubuntu16 build without libva is available at the following URL. Please let us know if this totally resolves your ./cin start up problem OR if libvdpau has to be removed also.
