Hi Phyllis, GG and all.
3 things here, continuing on working on the Debian packaging from the
20190531 tarball.
1st :
I've rewrote the debian/copyright file to be compliant with the modern
standard.
Please find the file attached.
2nd:
I've some more information about the e2fsprogs which is recommended in
the debian/control file build-depends list.
It is mentioned here: https://packages.debian.org/stretch/e2fsprogs that
it is an "essential" package, which mean (as far as I understand) that
it'll be available in a basic Debian environment (see
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-binary.html#essential-packages
). Hence, it's unneeded in the build-depends list.
3rd:
One of the Debian packaging tools (Lintian) told me that the source
contains a file that looks like a Subversion conflict file, probably
included by accident:
- cinelerra/TODO.r1027
- cinelerra/TODO.r1040
That isn't a big deal at all, and I'm mentioning it here in the hope it
can help to keep the sources clean.
Hope that helps.
Olivier
