Hi Julian

2/

on occassion Cinelerra will not stop playing when it reaches the last
frame in a track. it then rapidly rises to 99% CPU and is unreponsive
therein. at that point i have to kill the process.
Just a curiousity, what type of video material are you using? Is it mpeg?

I know there's seems to be a few bugs in the way libmpeg (a cinelerra library) deals with my mpeg footage. When I load mpeg video footage, (obtained from a standalone Panasonic DVD recorder), libmpeg would report that there was N+1 frames in the footage (whilst there were only N actual frames in the footage).

If it is mpeg and is this bug, I am personally working around this issue by turning the "Draw Media button of" zooming into the last, and cutting the last frame off the timeline. After this I don't get cinelerra crashing.

the icons however (while an jab at 'slick interfaces') are just bloody awful. crayons aside, the icons in the Resources panel are gigantic on my 1400x1050 display. i suppose i could get used to them, but adaptation is a good thing only some of the time.
Feel free to re-create your own theme!

i see that under Settings-->Preferences-->Interface there is a drop-down
menu with one theme in it, the default theme. is it possible to produce new icon-themes for personal use?
Hmm, you must be using the cinelerra official release (obtained from heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php3). The version mostly discussed here is the "Community Version", (obtained from http://cvs.cinelerra.org/)
Most of the other questions I don't know how to answer..
