Herman Well, I don't have spare time to chroot cinelerra. I just would like to build another version on my computer while keeping the old CVS version. I already spend a lot of time shooting my videos and editing them...
Unless the old and the new version can use exactly the same versions of the dynamic libraries (like libquicktime, libmpeg and so forth) you are in for quite a lot of hassle. Setting up a chroot does not take much time if you are on a fast Internet connection (net install of all the required packages), and it saves you the grief of conflicting or incompatible libraries mysteriously getting in the way of each other. -- Herman Robak _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
