Hi all,

suddenly, I am struck with a strange issue affecting my dissolve transitions.
Is there any known bug or problem in this area?

The speed at which the transitions proceeds doesn't honor the defined length of
the
transition anymore. All transitions in a given project use sort of a "sticky
default speed",
which seems to correspond to the transition length showing up when I add a new
dissolve transition.
This leads up to a bunch of nasty behaviour: if a given transition is shorter,
then it
proceeds too slow and thus the image just "jumps" to the next scene after the
end of the transition.
If, on the other hand, a given transition is longer, then it proceeds too fast
and after the
aforementioned "default transition duration" the image data just wraps around
leading to arbitrary
strange colors showing up in the result until the end of the transition.

 - The issue affects direct playback, background rendering and rendering/export.
 - I am working on HDV/1080i/PAL footage, directly imported as MPEG-TS (with
*.toc files),
i.e. it is anamorphotic and always needs rescaling
 - I am on a AMD64 X2 machine running kernel 2.6.13 SMP
 - I am on "64Studio" which is based on debian testing
 - I am using the debian (source) packages of Cinelerra-CV from end of december
(built
   the binaries myself)

What puzzles me most: it /did/ work until just 2 days ago. But now, if I pull
the old
versions of my Cinelerra sessions out of my Subversion, I get the same strange
behaviour
on them as well. I am not aware of any changes to my system in the course of
the last days.

More details:
 - the xml looks ok. (every transition contains just the correct number of
frames plus
two "null" keyframes, but the latter seems allways to be the case)
 - stripped down the session to the bare minimum (only one video track and one
media file),
   but this doesn't help
 - removed the .bcast directory -- doesn't help
 - created a completely new project with one of the "smaller standard
resolutions". Added two
png stills: could dissolve between them without any problems
 - created completely new project with the settings for my footage: could
dissolve between the
two png stills, but got the error when dissolving between two clips of my
footage.

Maybe I am missing something very obvious??
Any infos, hints (or ideas where to look) greatly appreciated!
