Sorry for asking here, but I am really a bit confused. I am wanting to
buy a computer primarily for cinelerra, with a limited budget. I am
wondering if Dual core is more importaint than 64 bit.
Just curious as to what people think about the performance of
cinelerra. Which would be faster? A dual core or a AMD Semprom 3.0 Ghz
(64 bit)
Anyone have a suggestion either way? I initially thought AMD Sempron
cause as I was personally curious to see how a 64 bit machine performs,
but now I am actually thinking that the dual processor may be more useful?
I am primarily using cinelerra as a tool to cut mpegs, and re-compress
to desired bit rates. (Producing quite a number of DVD's with up to
around 6 hours of videos...) At times I use alpha and overlay
presentation slides over the video.
