Ok, to follow up on the missing DQT/lavrec issue, I can not reproduce Mark's
results from 2004. I used lavrec from mjpegtools 1.8.0, (all I have is a NTSC
source (BT848), however) and the following command:
lavrec --software-encoding -t 5 -F 26985 -g 352x240 -f q -i n -q 80 -a 16 -s -b
512 -n 64 --file-flush 10 file.qt
file.qt loads perfectly into Cinelerra, no green fields. I'm going to say that
they've likely fixed the problem sometime in the two major mjpegtools releases
since the original report and that there is no reason to keep this bug open any
longer.
