Ooops, I just had a look again, and NO, it uses SEVERAL processors when
you're compositing and previewing the video. So, a multi-processors
setup is useful even for preapring the video.

Anyway, to use all the processor, an SMP kernel is necessary. You can
compile your own, or use one of the pre-compiled kernels available for
your distribution.
