What is the preferred capture method from DV everyone uses? Cinelerra internal, or other applications?
I have used Kino before to capture DV, under OpenSUSE. It was not easy to do, as OpenSUSE's version of Kino does not support Quicktime DV out of the box; and Cinelerra does not understand raw DV, so I had to recompile Kino and update a lot of libraries. Having DV capture in Cinelerra would have been great, but unfortunately it does not seem to be very stable.
