Cinelerra does not set the size and the aspect ratio to that
of the file you load. This can be annoying and confusing,
but it is by design.
The default format is NTSC: 720x480 pixels and 30 frames
per second. Have you checked that?
yes! thanks a lot! that was it - so i always have to choose the format
settings according to media info.
but the bottom line is that i could edit hdv with cine - right?
Yes you can. If you want to export back to HDV tape, you may have
trouble with using Cinelerra to render suitable MPEG2 directly.
What is your target format?
