What about putting those small up and down buttons on each side of the
textbox where the range is displayed?
Using the mouse wheel is quite nice indeed. But you'll have to read the
doc to understand how to change the values. At first I tried to use the
small buttons located on the right of the textbox. Then, I noticed it's
possible to use the mouse wheel to change the value. But I didn't
noticed first that changed only the last range value. By reading your
message, I then discovered I had to use the mouse wheel over the first
range value to change it.

Mmmmm... I think the Alt-F shortcut should continue to behave the way it
did before, ie changing all the curves values.
Perhaps a small button located on the right of the curve range amplitude
would allow to auto-fit only the curve type selected?

I'm there too.
