Marcin, Aside from a minor problem that does not seem to be affecting anyone else, I'd say that OpenGL has definitely improved video playback for me, going from about 19FPS to 30FPS for HDV content. I can't speak to any improvement in rendering time for those effects that support OpenGL, because I haven't measured it. I purchased a PNY NVidia GEForce 7600 8x AGP card w/512MB of memory specifically for Cinelerra. I think it is well worth the $150 I paid for it through www.bhphoto.com.
