Hello, I just tried, and I can't replicate that bug. I can indeed move the white line below the center of the track. Select "Audio fade" as the automation type, in the drop-down list located at the bottom of the main window. Just on the right, there're 2 numbers. You can change the second number using the 2 small arrows located on the right of the textbox. You can also modify that number using your mouse wheel, when the cursor is placed just over the number. Lowering that number will move the audio fade line down. That only affects the way the audio fade line is displayed of course.
