exactly ;)

Now since it is public (well, wasn't really secret), maybe someone has a
machine with more bandwidth/volume (mine is 10GB/month on DSL, just a
static IP) and would like to dontate some resources to the cinlelerra
project. I can assist in setting up a mirror where noone else needs an
account (thus quite a safe setup) and just plain HTTP needs to be served.
Git is actually freedom in the way sourcecode can be shared and I can
not/don't want to make just another centralized node here. My idea was
only about providing mirror space for people without persistent internet
connections. This is still somewhat experimental since I have no clue
how much people out there will use it, lets see in 1-2 weeks how it
turns out.
Anyways, if someone is still interested in using git, join the git-mob
on irc.freenode.net and ask about more infos. For anyone else, use the
SVN. The git trees are developer branches and are merged back to svn
when something becomes useable/stable. SVN is still the authorative
development tree.
